Megabass USA Warranty

A warranty is only as good as the peace of mind it provides. Megabass USA has taken this to heart, and is proud to present the first ever no-hassle three (3) year limited warranty of Megabass® rods in the United States. If your rod is defective in material or workmanship, your rod will be replaced at no charge; it’s as simple as that.

Megabass USA will replace your Megabass® rod free of charge if it exhibits damage due to defective materials or workmanship for a period of three (3) years from your date of purchase. This warranty is limited to retail sales of Megabass® rods by Megabass USA and its authorized dealers in the United States of America (for a current list of authorized rod dealers, please email [email protected]). This limited warranty applies to the original owner only, and is non-transferrable.

Please note that no claim will be processed unless the following criteria are met:

  1. You are the original owner
  2. You purchased your rod from Megabass USA or from an authorized dealer (as specified below)
  3. You are within the warranty period of three (3) years from the purchase date
  4. You have a copy of the original retail invoice
  5. You have written and enclosed a letter detailing the circumstances surrounding the damage to your rod

      6. To initiate a warranty claim, please ship your damaged rod to the address below. Please be aware that you are responsible for all costs associated with packaging, insuring, and shipping your damaged rod to our address. If you would like your damaged rod returned, please include a check for $25 made payable to Megabass USA, or contact customer service to make other payment arrangements.

      If damage to your rod cannot be repaired, a no-fee replacement will be sent to you as soon as possible. Exchanges and upgrades are not permitted. Megabass USA reserves the right to replace a model that is no longer in production with a current model of our choosing. This warranty does not extend to or cover any damage to the rod that is not the direct result of defects in workmanship or material, and does not extend to misuse, abuse, or tampering of the rod (including repairs conducted by any party other than Megabass USA) in any way other than normal use within manufacturer’s specification. This warranty does not cover damages to the rod that occur due to accident, fire, theft, loss, intentional damage, or acts of God; nor does it cover consequential, incidental, direct, indirect, or any other type of damage resulting from the use of Megabass rods. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state. (Updated 4/9/2012)


      MEGABASS® PRODUCTS

      Although the Megabass USA warranty applies only to Megabass® rods as specified above, if you experience defect-related damage to any Megabass® product, please feel free to contact us. While there is no program in place to provide replacements or repairs of any kind, we encourage you to mail us any products with suspected defects for examination and reference to the Production Department in Japan. Megabass® products are manufactured with strict quality controls, and designs are constantly under scrutiny to locate areas of potential improvement. Megabass USA is committed to making sure that Megabass offers the US and Canada the best products possible, and towards that end, we welcome any and all constructive input from you, our dedicated anglers.
