This is supposedly a hard plastic version of the Z-Crank crankbait. But, it is more like a giant Griffon with square-cut glass fiber lip. Its roundish body reminds you of a fat tuna fish, and yet unlike tuna fish (with no air bladder) it has extremely high buoyancy, which helps making this bait very responsive in the water. Thanks to the square-cut glass fiber lip, which is more durable against impact than regular hard plastic lips, Z-Crank X tends to relate tenaciously to underwater structure with more lively bounces. This new addition to the Z-Crank family boasts balsa wood construction that allows it to vibrate at a higher pitch than that available to big hard-plastic cranks. Its large body and resultant bouyancy enable a slow retrieve which lures fish from an even wider area.

The legendary original Megabass Z-Crank plug has been recreated by the craftsmen of Megabass as the new generation Z-Crank. This new Z-Crank has trimmed unnecessary bulk from its original form, while retaining the same natural wood that creates the raw action that make those tough fish go for a hard strike. Z-Crank recreates a high-pitch grinding, wobbling movement with an action similar to a vibration plug by using a coffin lip of thin, high-strength/high-bouyancy glass fiber. This new Z-Crank has an enhanced snap-less feature due to the high-resilience of the coffin lip and the plug's unique shape. These features, combined with the wooden body, transmit the feel of underwater structures in a way that is unparalleled by many injection-molded plugs, with the added assurance of a reinforced coffin lip. Z-CRANK Teardrop

The Teardrop is essentially a Z-Crank with an elongated body. This new type appeals to the minnow-chasing bass, enticing strikes with its sharp rolling action and subdued flashing action. It has been tested against fish that remain in shallow areas in both high and low temperature conditions, with great success. Z-CRANK Cover Hacking

With the conventional crank bait, one would need courage in excess to cast their favorite crank bait into a jungle of cover. However, this lure has been designed with exactly that situation in mind, allowing you to chase the bass with your favorite baits no matter where they try and hide. Z-Crank Coverhacking is armored with highly elastic circle guards on either side of the body in a system called "Snag-less Protection (Pat.P)." Made of wire, these guards allow the bait to bounce off of potentially deadly cover structures, thereby protecting the front hook from getting snared. This system also has the added benefit of acting as a bumper system to protect the body and finish of the bait from rocks and other hard structures.
