Xpod is in essence a top-water bait with an adjustable lower jaw which acts as a lip when it is ‘clicked’ to a lower position. With several different positions, the adjustable lip allows for the action of Xpod to be customized to various angling situations on the spot. The ability to create different lip angles allows for the generation of truly unique action, varying in degree from top-water to subsurface action. If you are familiar with the Japanese transformer toy craze of the past 20 or so years, you may not be surprised by Xpod: the first transformer bait. Perhaps, sometime in the future we will have a bait which transforms from top-water to a deep crank bait, but for now its range is modest, top to subsurface at most.
