Redesigned for 2008, the Evoluzion series now consists of the Ti and Dti Model. Each is based on the same High Modulus Graphite technology of the Destroyer series, but that is where the similarity ends.

The blanks of the Ti models are reinforced with titanium wires that run along the length of the blank (see inset at left). The addition of titanium wires to the High Modulus Graphite makes for a more sensitive and more responsive experience. The wires transmit additional vibration, while at the same time strengthening the graphite and giving it a 'steelier' feel and stronger backbone. The most obvious cosmetic change to the Ti Model is the pebble-pattern blank wrap that extends from the base of the blank to the mid-section, and the new silk-touch grade cork handles. Additional changes to the Evoluzion series as a whole include ergonomic grips, and the ITO Head Locking System (PAT).

The DTi Model is entirely different from the Ti in the way titanium wires are used. Instead of a parallel application down the length of the blank, the wires are applied in the manner of a double helix (like D.N.A.). The result is a fish scale like mesh pattern, and with super hard Ceramite Metal Shield wrapped to the last guide, it is awe-inspiring to the eyes. The Destroyer Evoluzion Series rods have gained higher tension power (ability to recover/rebound from the force that is applied to them) than the regular Destroyers due to titanium and other metal components devised for the series.

We suggest that you start with our regular Destroyer rods first. And, once you have gotten used to their lightness, balance and sensitivity, you will be more ready for the Evoluzion series rods. Also, for choosing your first Evoluzion rod, please compare with similar models of the regular Destroyer rods. You might consider the DTi and Ti Models as a "sport" or "touring" package which improves handling and overall casting experience.
